I witness the corpse with its dabbled hair, I note where the pistol has fallen

So the fourth & final book in The Tales of Dominhydor series is finally finished!!! Well, I still have to edit and extend, but I'm just jazzed that I actually finished writing the sucker. It's been....ohhh....almost 5 years since I started "Telinhe". I haven't been working on it that whole time, but it's definitely been hanging out there for a while, waiting. When I started it, I was in a pretty bad place in life, and when I came back to it this year, I was absolutely shocked at how terrible it was. The writing was extremely poor, the continuity was pretty much non-existent, and the characters were completely one-dimensional. I rewrote whole pages this time around, but it still needs a lot more work. I just wanted to get it finished though. Now, I can enter all of my edits into the computer and set it aside until I'm ready to go through it again. Since it's the fourth book, I have plenty of time. "Yven" is the next on the chopping block. What's even greater than having finished Telinhe though is having finished The Tales of Dominhydor altogether. Granted, I am planning on writing a prequel called "Yaliwe", but that probably won't be for a few years. I am really happy with the way it ended though. It gave some nice closure to pretty much everyone in Dominhydor...and it only took 4 attempted endings. I guess I should tuck those alternate endings away somewhere....just in case. ;)

I also started writing a new novel. Previously called Sweaty Stages, "PINS" is the story of a girl who goes to work in a Strip Club that is also a Bowling Alley. I'm writing it in the first person (which I haven't done since "A Touch of Scarlet") so I can better describe all of the craziness that will ensue from drugs and sex to bloody bloody murder. That's right: there are going to be some awesome deaths in PINS. I already started writing a few, and I'm extremely happy with where its going so far. I think it's going to be a rip-roaring good time!!! Nothing says fun like blood-spattered boobies, right?
